Prov testing
When I got back to the United States after leaving in August of 2016, my Master Electrician had expired. No worries I’ll gladly take the test again. At least so I thought. On November 8, 2022, James Samples drove from Kentucky to Cape Giradeau, MO. to take a
test for his Master Electrician License.
The test James was given had questions that weren’t applicable to NFPA 70. They gave him the
wrong test. Prov, rescheduled the test for an online test so James wouldn’t have to drive all the way
back to Cape again. Prov also waived the fee for taking the test
Prov provided James with information
regarding the requirements for taking the online test. According to Prov as long as an OS is less than 4
years old and had Firefox or Chrome the system would work.
Prior to taking the test James ran the online checker to ensure that his laptop would work for the
test. James was told that Linux Mint wouldn’t work and was given another list of requirements.
According to a document provided by ExamRoom AI, James would need Linux Ubuntu 16 or greater.
An hour before the test, James wiped his entire hard drive – losing pictures, data… as he installed another version of Linux.
James spent a day preparing to increase the speed of his internet to ensure that he met all the criteria provided by ExamRoom. When it was discovered that the internet tech was going to be three hours late, James drove 20 minutes away to a public library that could accommodate him for the test. On Jan, 10th, 2023, when James went to take the test he received a pop up window saying that the only Operating Systems that are accepted are Windows 7+ or Mac 10+
After three failures, Prov sent James a laptop of their own.
When James finally got to take the test, using Prov’s own laptop, James endured the fourth failure. It took 7 hours instead of 4 because of multiple failures that got resolved and one that never did.
James scored a passing grade of 79 even though he never got to see the blueprints used for the test.

Since we do work of all size. We’ll be there if you decide to add a fountain outside, add another light, or make any other adjustments. Small service calls are billed based on the modification. We’ll be there for you.
